About the Project

On April 19, 2019, in Bełchatów, the Eleven team co-organized a press conference devoted to the heart telemonitoring initiative for city residents, a continuation of the project implemented in 2018 from the citizens' budget. Then, the heart telemonitoring project was so popular that the city in 2019 decided to continue it with urban resources. Patients suffering from cardiovascular diseases can take advantage of 133 one-month subscriptions of devices. Patients will be covered by one-, two- or three-month telemonitoring of the heart, based on the medical qualifications of specialists from Polish-American Heart Clinic in Bełchatów.

Bełchatów is the first town in Poland that implemented medical telecare as part of the civic budget. The project is addressed primarily to people who recently have had a heart attack, unstable angina, or suffer from heart failure. Observations led by the Heart Monitoring Center at the Polish-American Heart Clinics in Tychy confirm the effectiveness of this type of care for cardiac patients.
