About the Project

On 5-8 June 2018 in Zabrze, Eleven Zett team participated in the jubilee XXV International Cardiological Conference, XIX Invasive Cardiology Workshop and II Echocardiography Workshop organized by the Silesian Center for Heart Diseases. The conference was devoted to the latest discoveries and research in cardiology, and the Workshop was based on the practical implementation of current knowledge about the most modern and innovative methods of treatment of patients with cardiovascular diseases.

During the conference there was a session entitled "Difficult patient with hyperlipidemia - image after new guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology and Polish Lipidological Society", devoted to one of the most common genetic diseases in Poland, family hypercholesterolemia. It is a genetic disorder that increases the level of LDL cholesterol in the blood. It is estimated that in Poland, up to 1 in 250 people may be sick. An early diagnosed and properly treated disease is not a verdict, it is a chance for a normal life - persuaded the debating experts including prof. Piotr Jankowski MD PhD, prof. Marlena Broncel MD PhD, prof. Maciej Banach MD PhD and Krzysztof Dyrbuś PhD.

The workshop was attended by representatives of the American Heart of Poland, including prof. Paweł Buszman MD PhD, Piotr Buszman MD PhD and Krzysztof Milewski MD PhD.
